Our natural scented candles have gone through months of testing to ensure they are long lasting! You can enjoy our wonderful scents for up to 40 hours. Once there is about 5-10mm of wax left at the bottom, it's time to move on...Get yourself a brand new candle (yay!) and see below how to clean out the leftover wax so you can reuse your jar.
How do you get leftover wax out of a jar?
The best way to remove the leftover wax is to use hot water and let it sit, the wax will slowly float to the top. As we use softer waxes like coconut and soy, they are easier to clean, making your life a little easier! You can then go on to reuse your new, sparkly clean jar…see below for inspiration!
How to re-use candle jars?
There are so many fun and creative ways to reuse your used candle jars! Once clean it is the perfect place to keep your wax melts or tealights, it sits nicely in your living room in a very decorative way and keeps everything neat and tidy.
If you want to get even more creative there are some unique ways to reuse your candle jars. Use it in your bathroom as a toiletry holder, glasses for your kitchen (make sure you’ve run them through the dishy once or twice!), or even for food. You can read our blog, by clicking here to see how we used our jars. Whatever you chose repurposing is the perfect way to help protect the environment. Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. How do you trim a candle wick before burning?
It is so important to trim your wick before you light your candle, no mushrooms welcome here! This is a key element in candle care, the bigger the wick, the more fuel to the flame and the quicker your candle will burn (not ideal!). We want you to be able to enjoy our luxury candles for as long as possible!
You can use a wick trimmer if you’re feeling professional, or just some basic scissors will be totally fine for this. Make sure your candle wick is always trimmed to ¼ of an inch, we suggest trimming the wick for every 4 hours of burn time.

Can you mix soy and coconut wax?
We use 2 types of waxes in our hand poured candles, to ensure they are natural as possible but the best! By using a blend of soy and coconut wax our vegan candles are formulated to create the perfect candle.
Increasing shelf life, softening wax to help with grip, and giving an excellent scent throw soy wax helps increase the melting point, which is ideal for those hotter, summer months!
Coconut wax is said to be one of the healthiest types of wax as it doesn’t produce much soot, it’s also a renewable resource that helps with scent throw and produces no harmful chemicals. Best of both worlds for everyone!
