How to Use Essential Oils for Anxiety?

Grab your favourite massage/carrier oil and add 2-5 drops of your chosen essential oil to create a relaxing massage oil to help soothe muscles.

For on-the-go relaxation, add few drops to a cloth to use to calm yourself down in stressful situations by inhaling the aroma. (traffic jams normally a good idea for this one)

Adding a few drops into a diffuser/humidifier can help to create a de-stressing and calming atmosphere at home. Tiny fragrance particles are released into the air and will bring a freshness to your home.

Mix water with 2-5 drops of your chosen essential oil and spray on bedding and furniture to bring freshness and a soothing feel to your home.

For ultimate relaxation add 2-5 drops to a hot bath, mix in and then soak. The aroma will gently diffuse into your bathroom through the steam from the hot water, allow yourself to inhale the fragrance to help ease anxiety.

What is a carrier oil?

When it comes to using essential oils always dilute with a carrier oil if applying to skin!

Carrier oils generally have little or no scent, they provide the perfect base to dilute essential oils. Perfect for creating lotions, massage oils, or any beauty products they help ease stress and moisturize skin. Coconut oil, Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil and Avocado Oil are some common examples, they're so many others out there to choose from, that will suit your skin type.

It is important to do a patch test first when using any of these products on your skin, to ensure you do not have any allergic reactions.
